Grassroots initiative to identify what West St Leonards community really wants

Prompted by what are widely seen as inappropriate council plans for the old bathing pool site in West Marina, the West St Leonards community is now seeking to organise itself to have a greater say in what happens in its area. Strandliner’s Andy Dinsdale speaks to Sussex Wildlife Trust

Can Hastings create a local food network?

On Saturday 22 February, from 12 -2pm, a discussion is being held over the possibility of creating a local food work in Hastings. It takes place at All Saints Hall, All Saints St and immediately follows on from the Hastings Green Party AGM, but is open to all of any political persuasion and none. Support urged for Christ Church solar energy scheme following HBC refusal

Plans to install solar panels on Christ Church in Ore, while fully in line with Hastings Borough Council’s policy of boosting renewable energy, have run into objections from the council’s planners.
