Coronavirus statistical update: time to start learning to live with the virus

With the caveat that a final decision will be taken next Monday, prime minister Boris Johnson announced yesterday that most anti-Covid restrictions will be lifted on Monday 19 July. Hastings gets more pop-up clinics as jab rate falters

Further pop-up clinics have been arranged in Hastings to provide opportunities for more residents to get a first vaccine jab. The vaccination rate has fallen sharply this month and the town still has a long way to go before enough of the population has had two jabs to achieve herd immunity. Coronavirus statistical update: Delta on the rise, in East Sussex as elsewhere

Coronavirus statistical update: Hastings plays catch-up on vaccination rates

The deployment of pop-up and mobile vaccination clinics in Hastings is helping to give a much-needed boost to the relatively low pace with which the local population, especially in the more deprived areas, is being given the jab.
