Locals protest choice of Stade open space for Covid test site

Stress management training films for NHS staff

For the past year Laurie Temple, who lives in Hastings, has been delivering stress management and mindfulness training workshops for the East Sussex NHS department of well-being for staff.  He is now about to make a series of related training films for NHS staff, and has launched a crowdfunding appeal to help finance them. Hastings well qualified to bid for government green funds

With a high incidence of fuel poverty and many homes with a low level of energy efficiency, Hastings should be aiming to get its fair share of the government grants on offer for decarbonising houses. ‘GONE’: arrived, and left, the Pier

On Saturday 11 July, Extinction Rebellion Hastings and St Leonards (XRHSL) temporarily installed 1,200 pairs of children’s shoes on Hastings Pier, in a performance installation entitled GONE. Erica Smith went to witness the fleeting installation.
