His Place wins £250,000 grant for vital repairs and music heritage project

Vital repairs will soon get under way at His Place Community Church in central Hastings following the award of a grant of nearly £250,000 from Lottery funds. The money will also enable a music heritage project to go ahead, as the church explains.

Grant to kickstart urgent repair programme at His Place

The future is looking brighter for His Place community church following the award of a grant from Historic England to perform detailed planning for an extensive programme of repairs and to research its musical heritage. An open day and free concert is planned on 12 March which the church hopes will help drum up community support for its bid for funds to implement the repairs. Nick Terdre reports.

Trinity Triangle Maintenance Club launched – new members welcome

Buildings in the Trinity Triangle area of Hastings town centre have benefited from a “Spring Clean” over recent weeks, as the start of a local Maintenance Club that is hoping to expand. The aim is for owners and others responsible for buildings to collaborate to save money and protect local buildings.
