HBC adopts climate strategy and action plan

Following up on its declaration of a climate emergency early last year, Hastings Borough Council has agreed a climate strategy and action plan to help take it to its target of achieving carbon neutrality in the town by 2030. Nick Terdre reports.

HBC and ESC sign landmark pact to tackle climate change

Hastings Borough Council and Energise Sussex Coast have signed a landmark agreement to work in partnership to tackle the impact of climate change in the town, as the council’s communications department explains in a statement.

Greens and HBC’s climate champion differ over climate emergency record

A year after Hastings Borough Council unanimously passed a motion declaring a climate emergency and committing itself to taking action to make the borough carbon-neutral by 2030, what has happened? Strandliner’s Andy Dinsdale speaks to Sussex Wildlife Trust

In a follow-up Emma Chaplin, Communications Officer for the Sussex Wildlife Trust, recently spoke with founder Andy Dinsdale for a personal insight into Strandliners’ work and the man behind the motto, ‘Cleaner rivers, Cleaner seas’.
