“Lack of vision” in HBC’s climate change strategy

Vandals target public toilets

Just a few days after reopening public toilets, several have been vandalised, the council says. It is also just a few days since Conservative councillor Rob Lee criticised the council for being slow to reopen toilets. Nick Terdre reports.

Oversize Bunker cries out for HBC action

Tories purged from Cabinet at behest of council leader

HBC council leader Kim Forward has made her mark by removing Tory representation on the Cabinet, in an unexpected move that has drawn criticism not just from the Tories but from Liberal Democrats and elsewhere. Nick Terdre reports.

Council’s sustainable incubator units given green light

Hastings Borough Council reports that it has been granted planning permission by the planning committee to build small business incubator units at Churchfield Industrial Estate.

Post-Covid reboot needed to orient town towards climate change objectives?

Now that the council’s climate change strategy is in the public domain, the voices omitted from helping to form it can be heard.
