Sea Change claims ignorance of QGR budget change

As the spotlight is turned ever more searchingly on Sea Change Sussex and its projects, the economic development company has made the startling claim that it was unaware that the Queensway Gateway Road (QGR) budget was drastically reduced in 2015. It also says it will need further funding to complete the project. Nick Terdre reports.

Whistleblower reveals “cover-up” over  councillor complaint

Selep withdraws Sea Change’s North Queensway grant

Sea Change Sussex’s plans for the North Queensway Innovation Park suffered a serious setback last week when the South East Local Enterprise Partnership withdrew its £3.5m grant offer. A firm start date for the Queensway Gateway Road is still unavailable but work on the Bexhill Enterprise Park North has resumed following the release of funds. Nick Terdre reports.

Sea Change projects under pressure at Selep

Sea Change Sussex finds itself under pressure at Selep, its major funder, where the accountability board has set challenging demands on three of its current projects, and raised the prospect of withdrawing funding for two of them. Nick Terdre reports.

Protest rally against North Queensway plans

Seachangewatch plans to hold an in-situ rally to protest against the development plans for Sea Change Sussex’s North Queensway Innovation Park next Sunday. Innovation park plan should be refused, says Greens’ Hilton

The Green Party’s Cllr Julia Hilton has added her voice to the many objections lodged against Sea Change Sussex’s plan to develop the North Queensway Innovation Park, complaining of the council’s lack of scrutiny of the company. Meanwhile Sea Change envisages having the Queensway Gateway road in operation by November, and has been granted funding for the Bexhill Enterprise Park North. Nick Terdre reports.
