Selep withdraws Sea Change’s North Queensway grant

Sea Change Sussex’s plans for the North Queensway Innovation Park suffered a serious setback last week when the South East Local Enterprise Partnership withdrew its £3.5m grant offer. A firm start date for the Queensway Gateway Road is still unavailable but work on the Bexhill Enterprise Park North has resumed following the release of funds. Nick Terdre reports.

Marline Valley rally against North Queensway proposals

Around 50 people, including representatives of the Green and Conservative parties, turned up for Seachangewatch’s protest meeting against Sea Change Sussex’s plans to build speculative industrial units on its North Queensway site. Bernard McGinley was among them.

Greens aim to break electoral duck in Hastings and East Sussex

Road project still a headache for Sea Change and ESCC

Despite its short length, the Queensway Gateway Road continues to be a major headache for Sea Change Sussex and its client, ESCC. The opening of the temporary link, originally expected in early 2021, is now mooted for August, while the original scheme may only come on stream in July or August 2023, almost seven years behind schedule. Public funds for Sea Change to develop empty business park

Sea Change Sussex has been allocated £3.5m of public funds to finance a fresh attempt to develop the vacant North Queensway Innovation Park, but its plans have been criticised for posing danger to the local ecology. Nick Terdre reports.
