Kinship with a Killer Whale: Matriarchs and Menopause is a talk given by zoologist, broadcaster and author, Lucy Cooke, at De La Warr Pavilion on Thursday 5 March.
Humans and orcas are unique in the animal kingdom in living beyond their reproductive life. Join us for a gallery tour followed by a talk by zoologist, broadcaster and best-selling author Lucy Cooke exploring how much we have in common with these intelligent and highly social cetaceans.
The talk is now SOLD OUT, but the exhibition runs until 3 May.
The artist is Zadie Xa exhibition and her exhibition entitled Child of Magohalmi and the Echoes of Creation uses water and marine ecologies as metaphors for exploring the unknown and the concept of homeland. It also includes a giant soft sculpture of a killer whale .
