The AltPitch Arts and Technology Festival is inviting submissions for its inaugural event online in March. Commissions are on offer for the best entries, and there will also be a live-streamed debate on the future of technology in arts. Nick Terdre reports, images from Pexels.
This Saturday, 1 August, a small group of friends will be walking over 15 miles to raise money for a wheelchair for their friend Esther Fox. The walk will start at 10am from Eastbourne Pier and they hope to finish it around 4pm on Hastings Pier. HOT’s Erica Smith pulled on her hiking boots and caught up with the friends behind the fundraiser.
On Friday 20 March, Esther Fox will be one of the keynote speakers at The Platform – the launch event of the AltPitch arts and technology festival. Whilst all the contributors to the festival programme have national (and international) reputations, Esther Fox is unique in being the only one born and bred in Hastings. HOT’s Erica Smith visits her old friend and finds out how her art practice has developed over two decades.
