The PhotoHastings Festival is definitely underway with more exhibitions scheduled at Electro Studios and Hastings Arts Forum as well as another few weeks of Photology at The Pig. Lauris Morgan-Griffiths went to see the latest Electro show Echoes:visualising thoughts and puzzling material (which can amount to the same thing) by Tracy Jones and Lucinda Wells.
Women who ride motorbikes, representations of the Virgin Mary, and issues around hair all feature in this exciting group exhibition. Erica Smith looks at the wealth of subjects explored by ‘women who shoot’.
PhotoHastings summer exhibition at Stade Hall includes an astounding selection of images from 16 photographers. This year, the group has welcomed two new photographers working with a mentor. HOT’s Erica Smith was delighted to meet these budding photographers.
