Patmore puts Tory case against Labour’s handling of HBC

Entries invited for Bexhill’s Footbridge Gallery

Artists and non artists of all kinds are invited to enter a competition for artworks to be displayed on the proposed Footbridge Gallery at Bexhill station. The competition aims to “inspire local residents and  enliven the town’s urban fabric in a colourful and engaging way.” Nick Terdre reports.

Anger at Napier reoccupation

Hastings Community of Sanctuary, along with other refugee support groups and parties, has reacted angrily to the Home Office’s decision to move asylum-seekers back into Napier Barracks, despite the many criticisms made by an independent inquiry and a legal action which would outlaw the move due to be heard this week. Following up the census

Census day is over but the collection of information is not done. Field officers are visiting households which have yet to make a return, and assistance is also available at local support centres. Warnings have been issued about scammers purporting to be census officials. Nick Terdre reports.
