Hastings is to host the UK’s first ever ‘Palestine on the Pier’ – a celebration of the best of Palestinian culture including food, music, dance, storytelling, handicraft and children’s activities. The free, daytime event on 5 September is jointly hosted by Hastings & Rye Palestine Solidarity Campaign [HRPSC] and the pier management team Hastings Pier Entertainment Ltd. Katy Weitz writes.
Hastings is expecting its largest ever demonstration for the Palestinian cause tomorrow [Saturday 22 May], according to the Hastings & Rye Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
The Hastings and Rye Palestine Solidarity Campaign (HRPSC) will host an online event next Wednesday 20 January discussing the issue of Palestinian expulsion. Set to speak at the event are historian Ilan Pappé and author Ghana Karmi. The HRPSC issued the following preview.
