Hastings Fat Tuesday has secured sponsorship from the Lakedown Brewing Co. co-founded by Roger Daltrey’s son for the Fat Tuesday Club which helps budding young local musicians develop their skills. Nick Terdre reports.
After a year of Covid closure, Hastings Fat Tuesday is back with a bang, launching its new showcase for emerging local talent and opening ticket sales for February’s Mardi Gras ball. Nick Terdre reports.
As we (hopefully) learn to live with the virus, and enjoy entertainment in public venues once more, let us welcome with open arms the return of Fat Tuesday to the life of the town, with a first event planned for late August and others to follow in the autumn and thereafter. The Fat Tuesday Team lay out their plans.
Darren Johnson couldn’t get any friends to come with him to savour the delights of Saturday Unplugged, when a myriad of lesser known bands play short acoustic sets in numerous pubs across the Old Town and now St Leonards. But that didn’t daunt him, and of course he had a brilliant time, as logged below. Darren also took the photos.
Now in its eleventh year, Hastings’ annual Mardi Gras celebration, Fat Tuesday, where scores of acts converge on dozens of venues to entertain thousands of punters for five days of music and general madness, launches on Friday 21 February this year.
