Rock stars with a difference

Lucy Bell Gallery’s latest show Days of Rock has a collection of images of some of the effervescent 70s and 80s rock stars and photographers who captured that time both on stage and behind the scenes. Out of this pot pourri of images one particular set is markedly different.They are the work of Andrew Catlin, who has captured, in contrast to the exuberance of the stage acts, quiet and reflective moments. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths. met up with him to find out more about his practice.

Read Your Way competition winners

And Man made Mannequin… an unlikely story

An exhibition of photographs of glamorous mannequins alongside a fantastic range of couture hats seems like a match made in heaven – and that’s what’s on offer at Caroline Morris Millinery & Art in Kings Road in St Leonards until 25 April. Since opening her millinery shop and art space in 2019, Caroline has exhibited local, internationally acclaimed artists such as Katherine Reekie, Oska Lappin and Susan Elliott. Each exhibition invites a creative exchange between hat designer and artist – in this case, photographer John Ferro Sims. PR consultant Debra Boraston takes up the tale.
