Trinity Triangle mural: soon to be on display
People attending Arts on Prescription creative sessions have been working on a mural inspired by the lives and places within the Trinity Triangle. On 13 June, the mural will go on display at Hastings library. HOT’s Zelly Restorick met up with Tara Reddy, co-founder of Arts on Prescription to find out more.

The mural has been thoroughly researched at Hastings library, by reading Steve Peake’s book, The America Ground, as well as the MSL project, Our Past, Our Future, which focused on the people and places of the America Ground, of which Trinity Triangle is a part. The workshops have been led by professional artists, Emily Johns, Emma Harding, Caroline Hughes and Tara Reddy. Participants have created their own ceramic tiles celebrating the lives and places within the Trinity Triangle.

Trinity Triangle tile project
On this project, Arts on Prescription worked with people who have experienced isolation, anxiety, depression, challenges accessing the local community — all issues which impact on people’s mental health. Some participants have gone on to become peer led volunteers, and two people have gone on to further education: one person has gone to college to study Level 2 Art and Design and another has gone to university to study graphic design.
AOP tile project
The mural will be temporarily displayed in the library, before finding a final display space within the Trinity Triangle. Arts on Prescription are awaiting final permissions from the Council before they can confirm where this space will be.
