Hastings and Bexhill Mencap Artists
Get Started! with Active Arts
The return of the much loved Active Arts & Friends variety show marks a much needed boost for the spirits of the Hastings and Bexhill Mencap Artists, who after two years of Covid enforced cancellations are making a welcome return to the De La Warr Pavilion stage on the 6 July.
‘Get Started!’ is a positive affirmation of joy that marks the light at the end of a long tunnel, which many of Mencap’s artists felt might never come. For all of us these covid years have been hard, but for the Mencap users this has been a truly isolating time, with many enduring long periods of no contact with friends and tutors.

Happy Days!
So this year is a special one for Active Arts, a sign of normality and hope for Mencap users, students, staff, friends and families that they can once again celebrate their uniqueness and talent.
