From Monday 23 August we get the chance to vote on all the entries for the Bexhill Footbridge Project
Vote for the Bexhill Footbridge Project from Monday 23 August
The Bexhill Footbridge Project competition has been a great success with over 150 entries received by the closing date. Entries ranged from Paintings, sculptures, knitting and needlework to poetry and song. A brilliant selection from the talented people of Rother and Hastings. Tim Birch asks you to vote for your favourite images.
The judging of the competition is going to be running from Monday 23 August, with the community voting first. From 1–8 September our invited judges consider which artworks they want to vote for.
We would love the readers of the Hastings Online Times to take part in this crucial part of our project by voting online at https://footbridgegallery.art for one week from 23 August.
Once voting is completed we shall announce the 40–50 chosen artworks. Then our team will then create the works into a gallery for printing.
All the works entered will remain online for all to see for two years, as will the Gallery on the footbridge.
Everyone is invited to our grand opening – provisionally booked for 23 October – possibly the first open-air gallery on a footbridge in the world!
