Some of the creations from Electric Palace volunteers for its ‘Guess the Film’ fun last year
Enter Electric Palace’s ‘Mimic a Film Scene’ photo competition
Missing going to the cinema? Looking for a way to get creative? While it’s closed during lockdown, the Electric Palace cinema in Hastings Old Town invites you to enter its ‘Mimic a Film Scene’ photo competition, writes Annie Waite.
During the first lockdown in 2020, the Electric Palace staff and volunteers amused ourselves with a Guess the Film quiz, which unleashed lots of creativity with home-made props and a lateral way of thinking.
For a bit of jollity this year, the Electric Palace is throwing open the fun to supporters.
How to enter the Mimic a Film Scene photo competition
You just need to recreate your favourite shot from film, using whatever props and costumes you have to hand. Take a photo of your work and ping it to the Electric Palace team along with the original shot so the team can see how well you have done.
Email your entries to info@electricpalacecinema.com with the subject line ‘Mimic a Film Scene’.
Please include your name and age and note that entries will be shared on the cinema’s social media accounts and enewsletter, as they’re confident they’ll be brilliant!
What’s the prize?
1st prize: two tickets for a film of your choice plus Prosecco for two.
Closing date: Friday 30 April 2021.
